Italian design within
a multicultural context

During a series of meetings organised for the forum entitled "The Sense of Design during the Age of Migration" Maurizio Molini was invited by the Italian Trade Agency to hold a masterclass under the patronage of the Italian Embassy in Slovenia. According to Molini, "the ultimate mission of architecture is to create connections between people and places; while institutions create barriers, design and architecture strive to overcome them." Having acquired familiarity with the works of Jože Plečnik, Molini refers to the excellent architect from Ljubljana as a primary example of multicultural architecture.
